2025 Reunion

The next reunion is being scheduled for May 16,17,18, 2025 in conjunction with the annual Moonshine Mountain Lost Boat Memorial Service conducted by the Carolina Piedmont and the USS Asheville Bases of the USSVI. This has been an annual event for the past 20+ years. The primary site for this event is the Big Lynn lodge in Little Switzerland, NC, which is about 30 minutes from where the Memorial Service is conducted on Moonshine Mountain, near Burnsville, NC. The event starts on Friday and the Memorial Service is conducted on Saturday, followed by a business meeting back at Big Lynn Lodge.
The Carolina Piedmont base of USSVI arranges the event and will issue a registration form with a charge for attending the event. The Asheville Base of USSVI maintains the Moonshine Mountain Memorial and conducts the service at the memorial site. The money collected from the registrations is used to maintain the site. I will forward the registration form as soon as I get it.
The Big Lynn Lodge, 828 765 4257, or Sky Line Village Inn, 828 765 9394, have some rooms available. There are other hotels and inns in the area. However, the main events take place at the Big Lynn lodge. If you stay at the Big Lynn Lodge, your dinner and breakfast are included in the room rate.
When the Memorial Event is over, most people will leave Sunday morning. We have scheduled our reunion to end Monday. Dave La Roach is working on arranging a formal dinner on Sunday, May
18th to commemorate the Jallao Reunion.
